Fabulous Fine Motor
The program is designed to encourage children to engage in a range of activities that support the development of their fine motor skills.
Fine motor skills refers to the group of skills involved in the ability to manipulate smaller objects with the hands and fingers, for example, grasping, holding and pinching. These skills are necessary for many aspects of self-care but they are also critical for the development of emergent writing.
Motivated Movers
This program is designed to encourage children to engage in a range of activities that support the development of their gross motor skills.
Gross motor skill development involves the large muscles in the arms, legs and torso. Gross motor activities are important to everyday physical activities like walking, running, throwing, lifting, kicking, etc. Gross motor abilities also form the basis for fine motor skills and relate to body awareness, reaction speed, balance and strength.
